Through the Office of Housing & Community Development, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania has been awarded a total of $353,050 in federal funds made available by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security/Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) Phase 40 Grant Program. The service period for eligible expenses is from November 1, 2021, through December 31, 2023. The Your Way Home Montgomery County CoC/EFSP Board is responsible for reviewing applications and determining how the funds will be distributed through a competitive application process. Applications are due on or before March 15, 2023, at 11:59 EST by email to Synethia Hill, Deputy Director, Montgomery County Office of Housing and Community Development, at Synethia.hill@montgomerycountypa.gov. Applications received after this deadline will not be reviewed.

PA-504 Montgomery County CoC FY 2022 Grant Competition and Special Competition Materials
The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has released two Notice of Funding Opportunities (NOFOs) for the Fiscal Year 2022 (FY22). In addition to the annual NOFO for the HUD Continuum of Care (CoC) Grant Program Competition, HUD has for the first time issued a supplemental Special Competition NOFO to Address Unsheltered Homelessness.
The PA-504 Montgomery County Continuum of Care Governing Board (the Board) is responsible for soliciting, scoring, ranking, and recommending to HUD all new and renewal project applications for both grant competitions. The Montgomery County Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) has been designated by the Board as the Collaborative Applicant for the consolidated applications, including all project applications, that will be submitted to HUD on behalf of the Montgomery County Continuum of Care.
Eligible project applicants for both grant competitions include nonprofit organizations; local governments; instrumentalities of state and local governments; Indian Tribes and tribally designated housing entities, as defined in section 4 of the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act of 1996 (25 U.S.C. 4103); and public housing agencies, as such term is defined in 24 CFR 5.100, are eligible without limitation or exclusion.
