Legal Aid of Southeastern PA - Landlord-Tenant Act Training

The training will cover the requirements of the PA landlord-tenant act, subsidized housing vouchers/HUD housing, the Implied Warranty of Habitability, enforceable lease provisions, and good cause for evictions, and responsibility for various issues (security deposit, repairs, defenses to rent obligations) between landlords and tenants.  The training will also cover the Federal ERA rent relief, the eviction process from the sending of the notice to quit through the issuance of an Order for Possession through the MDJ, and all appeal rights to the court of common pleas.  It will concentrate on legal standards, threshold issues, and important facts to consider in Landlord-Tenant disputes.
