On March 31st Your Way Home Montgomery County was honored by Philanthropy Network of Greater Philadelphia. The following individuals and organizations have all played a critical role in this initiative and now serve on the Your Way Home Leadership Council. They truly embody what it means for Philanthropy to Spark Solutions in our region.

  • RUSSELL JOHNSON of the NORTH PENN COMMUNITY HEALTH FOUNDATION,
  • JASON ALEXANDER, board member of BRANDYWINE HEALTH FOUNDATION AND LEAD CONSULTANT to Your Way Home
  • MEREDITH HUFFMAN, GENUARDI FAMILY FOUNDATION
  • VIRGINIA FRANZ, MONTGOMERY COUNTY FOUNDATION
  • LINDA ABRAM, NORTH PENN UNITED WAY

It was noted that Your Way Home embodied the principles of the Sparking Solutions initiative, most notably in that it falls within one of our 5 core issue areas of homelessness, and aligns with the following criteria:

  1. A sense of urgency and accountability to advance and sustain solutions that address the underlying causes of poverty in our region. Partners are in it for the long term.
  2. A willingness to set direction and build common purpose to align and enthuse funders and cross sector partners to work together to take collective action.
  3. Consensus on clear, measurable, shared goals and a common language to track progress and define success. Data collection, performance monitoring, evaluation and reporting results are integral to the initiative.
  4. A clear evidentiary base that informs planning, collaboration and action.
  5. Involvement of multiple funders (public and private sectors) and grantees working individually and collaboratively to leverage resources, support innovation and action to drive change to meet shared goals.
  6. Commitment to building nonprofit capacity to achieve stronger outcomes.
