Montgomery County’s Consolidated Application for the U.S. Department of Housing and Community Development’s (HUD) FY2015 Continuum of Care Program Grant is now available for review by community members. This year, Montgomery County is applying for a total of $3,032,753, including $211,110 in new funding for Permanent Supportive Housing and $388,810 in bonus project funding for Rapid Re-Housing.
The Consolidated Application is a comprehensive report on the county’s housing crisis response system, Your Way Home. Specific sections are dedicated to explaining Your Way Home’s work on coordinated entry and street outreach, outcomes achievements on measures such as exits to permanent housing and connection to mainstream benefits, and engagement of non-traditional partners in planning and systems change efforts. HUD scores applications based on the community’s implementation of these policy priorities. Your Way Home is poised to do well in this competition as a result of our alignment with HUD’s overall strategies, including our prioritization of the most vulnerable based on a common assessment, our engagement of multiple and new partners to address system challenges, and our ongoing evaluation through data.
Your Way Home partner organizations are welcome to comment on the application by emailing Emma Hertz, email@example.com, no later than 6:00pm on November 18, 2015, prior to submission to HUD.
